Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Description: Seeking a skilled independent contractor to perform part-time bookkeeping services. The Bookkeeper will work directly with the Library CEO and is responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping for the Library, as well as the monthly reconciliations of the accounts. Responsibilities: Establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems Prepare monthly financial statements for the Library Board Payroll accounting fully support all payroll processing in conjunction with an outside payroll service Pay all bills, and reconcile all monthly bank and credit card statements Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents Close out the fiscal year and perform all related functions for the annual external audit Organize and maintain office area and filing system Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

Pay Rate: $ 22.00 - $ 26.00 Hourly $22.00 to $26.00 per/hour depending on experience
Days/Hours of Work: The hours (15hrs/wk) can be scheduled for convenience but must be during business hours. This position starts immediately.

Qualifications: Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Best Practices Three to five years experience in the field Experience working in a not-for-profit organization Familiar with SAGE financial software Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Must be reliable, extremely detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must A clear vulnerable sector police check
