Job Title: Student Archivist &Guide
Job Description: The Cobourg Museum Foundation is seeking a Student Archivist & Guide at the Sifton-Cook Heritage Centre. Candidate will document and organize the records of the Cobourg Museum Foundation and the Sifton-Cook Heritage Centre from 1999 2018. This will include gathering various types of materials including minutes, news clipping and pictures; sort, organize, establish missing material, research sources; index and file material; update records of small artifact collection; prepare a plan to keep this work up-to-date; update Library records. If time and need require and allow, assist with guiding visitors. Candidates will have an interest in history and bringing it to life for others, good organizational skills, basic computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel etc.), have the ability to plan and carry out multiple tasks with direction, be flexible in dealing with the unexpected, and be a good team-worker. Experience in Archival and/or Library studies will be an asset.

Pay Rate: $ 14.25 Hourly
Days/Hours of Work: This will be starting approximately June 24th and going until August 4th (Position is subject to receiving funding from the federal Young Canada Works program)
