Job Title: Electric Motor and Pumps Repair Technician (AS) 1
Job Description: A well established shop is looking for qualified shop mechanic for sales and service of electric motor and pumps. Technician would have to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, assemble and test industrial electric motors, electrical equipment, fans, pumps, gearboxes in accordance with existing manufacturing standards in the most timely, cost effective and safest way possible. Perform routine maintenance to all pump equipment. Keep accurate and timely records of equipment movement, installation progress, service schedules, customer interactions, and other paperwork as required for proper documentation or work performed.Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition.Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including but not limited to: bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seal, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, tachs, fans, and shields, etc.

Qualifications: - Experience necessary. - Candidate must have the ability to communicate with customers and work well with other co-workers. - Problem solving skills are a must. - Must be able to work independently. - Regular attendance is required to fulfill the essential functions of the job. - Retest reassembled 1 phase and 3 phase electro-mechanical equipment for proper output and operation. - Ability to understand electrical circuits. - Must be able to operate cut off saws, grinders, oxy-acetylene torch, arc welders, hydraulic press/puller, forklifts, man lift equipment etc. - Must be able to operate test equipment properly; including but not limited to surge tester, megger, voltmeter, ammeter, etc.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
