Job Title: Event Management Intern
Job Description: Headwaters Community Farm and Education, in Cobourg, is looking for a competent intern to help oversee and organize large and small events, workshops and retreats that fit the mandate of our operation. An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques, can deal with the public effectively and can work within budget and time restraints. We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional candidate with a strong work ethic and the drive to get the job done. Also: plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives, prepare budgets and ensure adherence, source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers and other personnel, coordinate all operations, lead promotional activities for the event including online, print and in-person, supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.), approve all aspects before the day of the event, ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems.

Pay Rate: $ 15.00 Hourly
Days/Hours of Work: 5-day work week: Tuesday - Saturday OR Monday - Friday (dependent on bookings), occasional evenings. Internship duration: May 1 - September 2, 2019
