Job Title: Land Conservation Tech
Job Description: The Land Conservation Technician will be responsible for leading the ecological inventory and reporting process on lands whose owners are interested in conservation. Their responsibilities will include: -Plan fieldwork logistics (liaise with landowners and KLT volunteers, navigate to site, plan inventory route etc…) -Perform property inventory ( accurately list or describe flora, fauna, ecological communities and anthropogenic features on a property ) -Use standard field tools to collect data (GPS, camera etc…) - Identify SAR habitat and perform SAR inventories -Guide volunteers in the field when inventorying a property -Desktop research on a property (mapping, ARN research, reviewing existing report on the area) - Communicating with landowners to understand their property management goals and the management history of their property

Days/Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 9-5,but may be required to work some nights and weekends. Summer seasonal contract
